Who We Are
The Kalihi YMCA is located in the heart of West Honolulu serving all neighbors in the community. The Kalihi YMCA specializes in after school, school-break intersession, and vocational and leadership programs for children and teens of all ages. Various community outreach programs are housed at the Kalihi Y, such as the Ho'okupa'a Teen "Drop-In" Center, which provides a safe and enriching environment with positive adult mentors and activities for teens.
Since 1962, the Kalihi Y branch has been the YMCA of Honolulu's headquarters for Y programs focused on helping teens throughout Oahu with substance abuse, gang, legal and family struggles. Currently, the Y Substance Abuse Treatment program is offered onsite at 23 middle schools and high schools.
What We Do
The Kalihi YMCA offers the following:
- Fitness classes
- Early learning program
- A+ after school program
- Youth day camps
- Outreach and substance abuse prevention programs
