Who We Are
Located in the heart of Waipahu, the Leeward Y serves families and people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. The facility is in close proximity to the Waipahu Transit Center, Filipino Community Center, elderly housing, and Waipahu Public Library. With its groundbreaking renovation in 2004, the newly constructed Leeward YMCA is located on the former historic Oahu sugar mill property and was built with sustainable efforts from community organizations & donors.
What We Do
The Leeward YMCA offers the following:
- State-of-the-art equipment in our Fitness Center
- Swimming pool access for lap swim, water aerobics, & lots of family fun
- A+ afterschool programs at DOE elementary school sites throughout Oahu, including nearby elementary schools in Waipahu, Ewa, and Leeward Coast
- Intersession and Summer Fun programs at our Leeward Y Branch
- A variety of programs and activities for youth, adults, and kupuna
